Apply Now: DataSURF summer 2026!

We're excited to announce that applications for DataSURF 2026 are now open! 

The Data Science Undergraduate Research Focus (DataSURF, formerly SURP-Stats), is a summer program that connects undergraduate students with faculty across campus conducting research involving data science, offering hands-on experience in applying data-driven methods to real-world projects. 

Students will also participate in regular lunch meetings with their peers, attend talks and professional development opportunities, and present their research at a final poster session. We are looking forward to fostering a supportive sense of community among our researchers! 

This is a 10 week, in-person (on campus) experience. The 2026 program will run from June 22 to August 18.
